Healthcare providers

You see the family who needs an evaluation or therapy and cannot afford it. The Foundation exists to help with the part that happens after your recommendation.

Ways to work together

  • Refer a family. Give the family the Get Help page, or email howdy@carrygoodforward.com with a general description of the need. Please do not send protected health information by email; the Foundation contacts families with their consent and asks only for what it needs.
  • Keep resource kits in your practice. Bilingual mental health guides covering warning signs, how to ask for help, local low-cost providers, and crisis lines, for the moment a family needs them.
  • Host or co-lead a caregiver workshop. Free sessions for parents and caregivers on childhood anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and stress at home, led by licensed clinicians.
  • Serve families the Foundation supports. Where the Foundation helps reduce the cost of an evaluation or treatment, the service is delivered by a licensed provider. Practices interested in being part of that network can start the conversation by email.
  • Contribute expertise. Psychologists, counselors, and social workers who want to review a resource guide or lead a workshop topic.

What providers should know

  • The Foundation is a charitable organization, not a provider, payer, or referral service. It does not diagnose, treat, or guarantee that any family will receive funding or services.
  • The Foundation is the charitable foundation of Amlea Behavioral Healthcare, a behavioral healthcare practice. The two are distinct entities, and referring a family to the Foundation is not a referral to Amlea. See Transparency.
  • The Foundation does not publish or share information about the families it hears from, and does not list a practice as a partner without agreement.
