Accessibility

A foundation about access should be accessible. This page describes what has been done, what is still being worked on, and how to tell the Foundation about a barrier.

Our commitment

Carry Good Forward Foundation wants everyone, including people who use assistive technology, to be able to read this site, ask for help, and give. The site is built to work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What is built in

  • Semantic HTML with one main heading per page, landmarks, and a skip-to-content link.
  • Full keyboard navigation with visible focus states.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
  • Color contrast chosen to meet AA for body text and controls.
  • Motion on the homepage is disabled when the browser's reduced-motion setting is on. No audio or video plays automatically.
  • Text can be resized to 200% without loss of content, and layouts adapt to phones and tablets.

Known limitations

  • The donation flow and the live giving display are provided by Givebutter and are subject to Givebutter's own accessibility work. If you have difficulty giving online, email howdy@carrygoodforward.com and the Foundation will arrange another way to give.
  • Some PDF resource guides, when published, may not be fully tagged. Ask and the Foundation will provide the content in another format.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is hard to use, email howdy@carrygoodforward.com and describe the page and the problem. The Foundation will respond and work to fix it. This page was last reviewed on September 18, 2026.
