About the Foundation

Good that moves forward.

Carry Good Forward Foundation is a Central Texas charitable foundation working to expand access to mental health care, especially psychological testing and psychotherapy, for people and families who face barriers to care.

Why we exist

Carry Good Forward Foundation was founded on a simple belief: healing is not only personal, it is generational. When one person gains access to care, a family grows steadier, a community grows stronger, and the next generation inherits something better.

In Central Texas, and across the country, families who need a psychological evaluation or ongoing therapy often run into the same walls: cost, long waits, and too few providers who can see them. The Foundation exists to close the distance between needing support and receiving it. Every resource we share, every program we fund, and every partnership we form is measured by one question: does it carry good forward?

What we do

Our work rests on four pillars.

  • Mental Health Access. Education, resources, and care for people who would otherwise go without, with a particular focus on psychological testing and psychotherapy.
  • Stronger Families. Practical support for caregivers and children, so that families have what they need today to build stability for tomorrow.
  • Healthier Communities. Prevention, resilience, and opportunity, delivered through partnerships with schools, clinics, and local organizations.
  • Generations Forward. Programs designed with the long view, so what we heal in one generation is carried differently by the next.

Who we are

The Foundation was founded by Dr. Monika Diaz, a licensed psychologist, and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board can be reached at boardofdirectors@carrygoodforward.com.

Our relationship with Amlea Behavioral Healthcare

Carry Good Forward Foundation is the charitable foundation of Amlea Behavioral Healthcare, a behavioral healthcare practice. The two are distinct: Amlea is a clinical practice that serves its own patients; the Foundation is a charitable organization whose purpose is expanding access to care in the community. The Foundation draws on the clinical expertise of its founding partner, but gifts to the Foundation are charitable contributions to the Foundation's programs. They are not payment for Amlea's services, and the Foundation does not itself provide clinical services. See Transparency for more.

Where we work

The Foundation is based in Central Texas, in the Round Rock area north of Austin, and its program work begins there. Its resources are written for anyone, anywhere, who is trying to understand and navigate access to mental health care, and it welcomes donors, funders, and partners from across the country who share its mission.

Carry good forward with us.

Every gift, partnership, and hour of volunteer time helps close the distance between needing support and receiving it.
